Couldn't sleep - was up at the crack of dawn much to the chagrin of my roommates- D100 in hand and a small tripod to steady my weary hands. Captured this and did some color fixes before uploading. Peaceful shot...very quiet. The water is sooooo calming, the boats dead still or slowly rocking. The seagulls seemed serene although their energy seemed to be increasing at the prospect of searching for food. The dew settled everywhere - everything wet and glistening in the early light, the street lights ready to sleep for another day. There is an unmistakable energy here -peaceful, vibrant.
I hope to capture these types of images again when I return in June. Will bring a new D200 or D2x with fisheye to try new styles. I am also going to try and slow down a wee bit. I was go-go-go-go-go!!!!! Scared of missing something...when really the trick is to stop and observe - sometimes you have to let things be and try not to do too much...in that old saying,
" the things you remember the most in life are not things at all" .
I'm trying to figure things out as best as I can, given the tools I have been provided with and those I've managed to pick up along the way.
Back Soon.
