So Long Vancouver...til next time

You know its days like this that make me wonder why I ever left this beautiful city. The sounds of the seagulls, the peacefulness of the water and the abundance of pedestrian friendly pathways in offer visitors a sense of tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Few cities in the world have the sort of diverse offerings Vancouver has become famous for – they say you can swim in the ocean, play a round of golf and go skiing all in the same day. The shopping and eating are highlights as well. When I come to Vancouver I typically spend some time in my favourite places, North Vancouver, West End, Yaletown, Gastown, Stanley Park, Robson Street and Granville Island.
Google these places and you’ll find an endless amount of information for activities, accommodations and dining choices.
People are generally friendly and relaxed here – they respond well to tourists and are helpful when you need something.

So it's bye for now Vancouver...until next time.

Vancouver Bloggin'

Another outstanding day here in Vancouver, part of the day was spent in the "West End", which is Vancouver's gayborhood.

A nice breeze was blowing as we took a slow leisurely drive(speed limit 30km/h and strictly enforced) along Beach Avenue, over the Burrard Street Bridge over to Granville Island.
Another must see while strolling about is the Granville Island Public Market.

The "GI" was packed with tourists and locals alike, although it was much more quiet than the weekend which is absolutely bustling with it's crowds. The produce is some of the freshest and most diverse you can find in Vancouver and the "made from scratch" soups are some of the best you'll find anywhere in the world.

Vancouver Video Intro and Clips

Steamworks Brewing Co.

I am trying to take full advantage of the video feature now available on Blogger and I'm lovin' it.

My camera skills will improve with time and the content will hopefully be as interesting to watch as it was to produce. I'll try and keep the "umms and the ahhs" in my commentary to a minimum. I will also try not to bore you with my plugs for Arrogant Apparel...but I'm very excited about this project. I know we can do good works, make some money and have fun along the way.

Send me comments as you see fit and I'll get back to you when I can.

Thanks again,

AP
